Job Summary: The Wayne Mobile Health Unit (WMHU) Clinical Operations Manager will provide on-Site leadership and practice management of mobile unit operations. The WMHU Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the operational oversight of all clinical staff at all mobile unit practice locations. Under direction of the Department Administrator, this role is responsible for building effective relationships and supporting corporate and departmental initiatives. This position will be focused on maximizing the quality and efficiency of daily mobile unit functions. Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Manager is field based in the mobile unit settings improving efficiency and effectiveness of operations workflow. · During non-event time, manager is working at the WMHU office overseeing clinical team activities including direct oversight of the office-based nurse duties. · Plans and oversees the implementation of effective mobile unit procedures including mobile unit event setup and tear down, patient registration, appointment scheduling, collection of insurance information, obtaining copies of patient insurance cards and photo IDs, obtaining patient consent and essential documents, and ensuring that mobile unit staff follow assigned duties as assigned. · In coordination with the WMHU Administrative team, establishes clinical team member shift - schedules, approves time off and requests to scheduling changes. · Manages the daily performance of clinical and non-clinical team members to ensure duties are completed accurately, efficiently, and timely. · Plans and oversees the implementation of operational clinical staff policies and procedures including IT systems used in clinical setting. · Organizes and delegates out staff for various grant funded WMHU projects. · Develops and implements process improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction initiatives and provides follow up and metrics. · Supervision to include participation in recruitment, orientation, termination, performance counseling, education, clinical competencies, evaluation, and performance expectations of mobile unit staff. · Manages payroll for WMHU clinical staff. · Develops a team approach to patient care delivery. · Participates in reviewing and updating clinical policies and procedures with mobile unit leadership · Implements mobile unit staff duties pursuant to procedure, provider requirements and workload variables and manages project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs. · Exercises sound judgment and intervenes with providers when risk factors are identified. · Determines appropriate training needs and ensures compliance with established and continued requirements for health care services. · Conducts on-site orientation and training on clinical procedures and sign off on competencies for clinical members. · Oversees WMHU vehicle maintence requirements, WMHU vehicle registrations and eligible driver requirements. · Oversees clinical supply stock and equipment calibration and maintenance. · Oversees WMHU staff mileage expense reports. · Other related duties as assigned. Exemptions or accommodations to the Wayne Health vaccine requirement may be approved under certain limited circumstances. Anyone with an approved exemption must have weekly PCR COVID-19 testing on their own time and submit the results every Monday, before arriving at work.
