Oversee all aspects of OSP construction activities, ensure compliance, conduct site inspections, and manage project documentation.
Bachelor’s in engineering or related field, 5+ years in OSP construction, knowledge of fiber optic deployment, project management proficiency, and regulatory familiarity.
Primary focus is setting up, managing, and driving drilling operations. Should be able to "set up a shot". Staging for the drill. Work with local DOT and municipalities. Oversee the GC's/Subs/Drill Crews. There is not yet an office, warehouse, yard or any other Ezee location so they will be in the field, working from the vehicle 100% of the time. Must be able to be accountable and self manage. Primary areas will be: Novi, Plymouth, Livonia areas. Must also be willing to travel to Chicago for meetings or training. Expenses for mileage, hotels, tolls, etc will be reimbursed. • Oversee all aspects of OSP construction activities, including trenching, boring, conduit installation, aerial placement, and splicing. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout the construction process. • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify issues, and address any challenges that arise during construction. • Implement quality assurance processes to verify the integrity and performance of fiber optic network infrastructure. • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with design specifications, construction standards, and regulatory requirements. • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including construction schedules, progress reports, change orders, and as-built documentation. • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and permitting agencies to facilitate project planning and execution. • Prepare regular status reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate project status, milestones, and key performance indicators. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field. • 5+ years of experience in OSP construction management, preferably in the telecommunications industry. • Strong knowledge of fiber optic network infrastructure design, construction, and deployment methodologies. • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. • Proficiency in project management tools and software applications for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting. • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing OSP construction and telecommunications infrastructure.
