What You’ll Do As the Business Development Manager, you’ll lead the charge to grow WaterWorkforce’s O&M and MBR system portfolio across California and surrounding states. You’ll blend technical understanding with relationship-driven sales to expand our reach in the industrial, private, and small-municipal sectors. Your Key Responsibilities • Build Markets: Identify, engage, and secure new clients across industrial, private utility, and small-municipal sectors. • Lead the Sales Cycle: Manage everything from lead generation and proposal development to contract negotiation and close. • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with operations, engineering, and marketing to craft solutions that meet both technical and client goals. • Represent the Brand: Be the face of WaterWorkforce at conferences, trade shows, and industry events, strengthening our presence and reputation. • Deliver Results: Track progress, performance metrics, and strategic growth targets in coordination with the CEO. • Innovate: Bring ideas to the table, new partnerships, technologies, and opportunities that push our division forward. What You Bring • 5–10 years of proven success in business development or sales within the water/wastewater or environmental services industry. • Background in O&M services, MBR systems, or similar treatment technologies. • Deep understanding of water/wastewater operations, system performance, and service-based project delivery. • Experience engaging small municipalities, industrial clients, or private utilities. • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, able to speak to operators, engineers, and executives alike. • Skilled in proposal development, negotiation, and strategic planning. • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, accountable, and capable of leading growth independently.
