Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, to load, unload, and move materials efficiently within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires strong knowledge of warehouse operations, materials handling, and safety protocols to ensure smooth shipping and receiving processes. Prior experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, and using warehouse management systems is highly desirable. The Forklift Operator will play a critical role in maintaining operational flow and supporting overall warehouse productivity. Responsibilities • Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload materials • Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and assist with order picking processes • Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety standards • Assist with shipping & receiving activities, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations • Support warehouse management system data entry for inventory tracking and order processing • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize material flow and storage solutions • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently during daily operations • Assist with construction or materials handling projects as needed Skills • Proven experience operating forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in a warehouse or construction setting • Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and materials handling procedures • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety • Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues quickly • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods • Experience with order picking, shipping & receiving, and load & unload activities • Prior warehouse supervisor or construction experience is a plus • Excellent attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are valued.
