Full Description

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) is dedicated to promoting success for all students through effective institutions. The Commission Support Manager will manage activities related to Commission functions, coordinate logistics for meetings, and serve as a liaison for the Commission’s decision-making process. Responsibilities • Coordinate all projects related to the Commission and manage logistics related to Commission meetings, including scheduling, maintaining the agenda, compiling data, and taking and distributing minutes • Answer incoming phone calls to the general line, take messages, and/or direct to the appropriate party • Answer any incoming emails and direct to the appropriate party • Assist the Director of Educational Events in the logistics planning of Commission meetings • Assure public notice of Commission decision-making in coordination with Director of Communications • Update the Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs (DAPIP) for every Commission action • Manage materials and logistics for New Commissioner Orientation • Proofread, prepare, log, file, and transmit correspondence from the President and the Commission • Document and retain records of Commission committee assignments and rotations • Manage Commissioner Election Cycle and support the Nominating Committee Manage scheduling, agenda finalization, and material distribution for monthly EC committee meetings • Assist in development of agenda and activities for the annual Commission Retreat • Research as needed • Assist President, Executive Vice President, and Vice Presidents as directed • Maintain and organize files of all Commission documents and correspondence • Make travel arrangements and schedule appointments for President as needed • Other duties as assigned Skills • High level of demonstrated organizational skills • Excellent customer service skills, both over the phone and in person • Strong written and oral communication skills • Strong technology skills, including Salesforce, Box, Zoom, Adobe, Slack, web-based and cloud applications and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) • High degree of accuracy and careful attention to detail • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments quickly in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment • Ability to handle pressure, be flexible, and take responsibility • Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions • Proven planning skills, including familiarity with practices for timelines, tracking multiple levels of data and related activities • Ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and maintain quality of work • Effective at working with a team and with a sophisticated clientele • Five years of experience in a position of responsibility, preferably in higher education Education Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree or higher Benefits • Medical • Dental • Vision • Generous retirement • Supplemental disability • Vacation • No waiting period for benefits except minimums set by providers.
