Position Summary...Walmart is building the AI-powered future of Commerce. We are seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Partnerships & Business Development to build and drive ecosystem partnerships across AI platforms and other technologies. From big tech to hyper-scalers and foundation model providers to disruptive AI startups, you will identify and negotiate the foundational deals that integrate cutting-edge technology into the lives of millions. Operating at the high-stakes intersection of product, engineering, and commercial strategy, you will be the bridge between 'what’s next' and 'what’s possible at scale' - sourcing opportunities, structuring complex deals, and driving execution across the enterprise. What you'll do...Partnerships Strategy and Business Development: • Define and lead Walmart's tech partnerships aligned to product and enterprise strategy. Identify and evaluate high impact opportunities across the tech ecosystem. • Conduct market analysis, tech diligence, and financial modeling to inform partner vs buy/build decisions. • Develop exec-ready ready recommendations. Influence senior leadership on strategic direction. Deal Structuring and Negotiation: • Lead end to end deal execution from exploratory discussions through term sheets and full contract negotiation and execution. • Structure complex agreements involving IP, data rights, co-development, platform integrations and commercialization models. Build scalable and durable deal constructs. Partnerships Development: • Serve as a central point across named strategic partners. Build durable relationships across the tech ecosystem. • Drive co-build initiatives across APIs, data integrations, infrastructure and experiences. • Establish governance and metric frameworks to ensure long term value creation. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Align internal stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Sales, Marketing, Search, Personalization, Ads, Walmart+, Payments and Enterprise teams. • Remove execution barriers and drive accountability across internal and external partners. What You'll Bring... • 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships. • 4+ years of experience negotiating and managing the implementation and execution of term sheets and signed agreements with partners. • Background in retail, commerce platforms, advertising technology, or consumer ecosystems. • Direct experience working on partner technology integrations and experiences on 3P platforms. • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, manage complex partner relationships, and drive adoption of new products and features. • Experience working, negotiating with and presenting to senior leadership. Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in quantitative, business or a related field. MBA preferred. Preferred Experience: Working at/ with hyper-scalers, foundation model providers, big tech or AI-native startups. The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
