Full Description

Job Description: Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start-ups, required cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening back door of store for deliveries. Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers. Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Roles and Duties: • Engages with customers and patients through greetings and offering assistance with products and services. Manages customer concerns and responds to questions to ensure a positive customer experience. • Acts as a guide in demonstrating and sharing customer service excellence strategies with team members to deliver a memorable and enjoyable customer experience, encompassing interpersonal behaviors like greetings, eye contact, courteous interaction, as well as Walgreens' service principles such as offering proactive help, identifying customer needs, ensuring satisfaction through service, and beyond. • Responsible for managing store keys in order to carry out opening and closing tasks independently, without the need for managerial guidance. • Guides and mentors team members in overseeing warehouse operations and vendor ordering system, from the creation to the confirmation and acceptance of orders, as well as facilitating vendor deliveries by unlocking the rear entrance. • Accountable and reliable for documenting all necessary sales on the designated cash register, comprising recording scanning errors, verifying prices, listing items not recognized, changing prices, and voiding transactions. • Assists the manager or assistant store manager by examining order discrepancies on order release day and contributing to reverse logistics activities like processing returns and empty package management. • Aids the manager or assistant store manager by evaluating and enhancing displays, encompassing promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale products. Carries out resets and adjustments to meet requirements. • - Manages exact inventory evaluations; ensures the correctness of in-stock quantities within key divisions, storage points, and extra inventory positions. • Support in facilitating the implementation of the Outdate program guidelines within the team. • Leads department pricing duties, including daily price modifications and ensuring the accurate positioning of signage to support precise product pricing. Additionally, responsible for completing any supplementary pricing obligations concerning local regulations and compliance programs accurately and within the required timeframe. • Provide support in managing financial records, such as cash statements, cash verifications, accounting logs, and settling payable amounts as necessary or upon demand. • Assists in preserving the cleanliness and tidiness of the store's inside and outside areas, notifying management of repair needs in the manager's absence or as per the manager's request. • Participates in ensuring product quality by rotating stock effectively, prioritizing the use of earlier arrivals and replenishing sold-out items promptly. • Has operational knowledge of store systems and equipment. • I am here to offer assistance at the pharmacy pick-up window upon request. • Confirms that all stipulations outlined in state and regional laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco are upheld. • Responsible for overseeing bag checks on team members prior to their exit from the store. • Aligns with all corporate policies and procedures; upholds professional relationships with coworkers. • Takes care of special assignments and any other tasks as allocated. Training: • Adheres to the training schedule and satisfactorily finishes all PPLs requested by the Manager. • Secures and keeps proper PTCB certification or pharmacy license in accordance with state requirements. • Acts as a mediator between managers and non-executive employees by conveying designated responsibilities to team members in the absence of store leadership. Qualifications: • Previous involvement in leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder positions for one year is mandatory. • Mastery of English language in reading, writing, and verbal communication is essential, except in Puerto Rico. • Appreciate the significance of having expertise in store inventory control.
