Full Description

Overview The ED Patient Registration Representative plays a pivotal role as part of the Revenue Cycle Operations team when interacting with patients and registering them for their care. The ED Patient Registration Representative accurately performs a variety of administrative duties required for patient registration including entering essential demographic and insurance information, collecting copays, obtaining required signatures, and resolving errors on accounts before they are sent for billing. As a liaison to patients, the community, and healthcare professionals, this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure delivery of the highest quality customer service. The emergency department team works in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with medical emergencies, including cardiac complaints, stroke symptoms, traumas, and other emergencies. It requires the ability to provide extraordinary and compassionate customer service to patients and family members presenting to the emergency department. Our team initiates the arrival process at the welcome desk and completes the registration at the patient's bedside after the patient has seen a care provider. Emergency department registration staff partner with the clinical staff to help patients receive personal attention and care as efficiently as possible.
