About You As a member of the Logistics Operations Team, you will be responsible for overseeing numerous functions within a warehouse to include shipping, receiving, loading, inventory control, rotation of product, as well as the supervision of affiliated and non-affiliated Associates. This role requires oversight of a 7-day operation, Sunday through Saturday, in servicing our Members/ShopRite stores, Wakefern subsidiaries and alternate banners with product replenishment and on time deliveries. Core Functions The core functions of this position includes everyday support of operations, as needed, but not limited to: • Manages and directs the day-to-day Logistics workflow • Actively monitors the warehouse environment to ensure Wakefern policies and procedures are adhered to and address any violations in a timely manner • Ability to supervise in a highly unionized environment • Communicates operational updates across the management team daily • Acts as an advocate for all affiliated and non-affiliated associates to promote a safe and positive working environment • Ability to positively apply all six leadership competencies (Think Strategically, Influence Others, Inclusive Leadership, Take Accountability, Talent Planning and Drive Organizational Change) to daily work functions and team interactions • Additional duties as required for business needs Knowledge and Skill Requirements • High School diploma or equivalent required, college preferred • Previous warehouse supervisory experience including receiving, shipping, selection, sanitation and inventory control or other related experience is preferred • Strong leadership, problem solving and motivational skills with an ability to supervise administrative and warehouse associates • PC literate including MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel • Working Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Rapid, Kronos, Radio Frequency Hilo and Voice Directed Selection experience preferred • Flexibility with regard to working any 5 out of 7 day schedule including; days, shifts, overtime and holidays • The hours for this position are 10:00pm - 6:30am • Well-developed oral and written communication skills • Multiple language experience preferred Working Conditions & Physical Demands • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with a unionized workforce • Ability to walk, stand, bend, stretch, and reach as needed for long periods of time • Ability to look up and down for long periods of time • Ability to monitor computer screens for a long duration • Wear protective steel-toe footwear • Ability to work seated for long periods of time when required • Ability to operate necessary equipment including a single pallet jack Leadership Competencies • Think Strategically: Create a compelling vision, develop a strategy and empower others to achieve it • Influence Others: The ability to effectively collaborate, inspire, persuade and align others • Drive Change: Create the vision and drive the momentum for change • Talent Planning: Build organizational and associate capability to achieve business goals • Take Accountability: Drive a culture of ownership throughout the organization • Inclusive Leadership: Role model inclusive leadership to leverage diversity Core Competencies • Communicate Effectively: Communicates thoughts and ideas in a well-organized manner, encouraging two-way communication. • Build Relationships: Creates cross-functional partnerships through the development and maintenance of constructive and cooperative relationships. • Stay Competitive: Demonstrates a mindset of continuous improvement while exhibiting passion and enthusiasm for their work. • Embrace Change: Looks for new ways of working by supporting advancements in processes and technology. • Develop You: Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities for personal and professional career growth. • Drive for Results: Supports divisional and strategic objectives through achievement of work goals. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $1354 – $2188 weekly. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
