Project Manager – Commercial Construction WA Patriot Construction | Pierce County, WA WA Patriot Construction is a growing commercial general contractor delivering private design-build and public works projects throughout Pierce, King, and surrounding counties. We are known for our hands-on leadership, strong field culture, and ability to self-perform with union carpenters while maintaining high client satisfaction. We are seeking a Project Manager who wants real ownership, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to grow with a dynamic firm competing successfully with larger King County contractors. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, with an anticipated range of $95,000 - $130,000. Position Overview The Project Manager is responsible for leading projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. Our PMs are not paper pushers — they are leaders, decision-makers, and client partners. What You'll Do • Manage commercial construction projects from award through warranty • Lead design-build coordination with architects and engineers • Oversee subcontractor buyout and scope leveling • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports • Drive schedule performance in partnership with the Superintendent • Lead owner meetings and maintain strong client relationships • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation (Procore) • Support pursuit efforts, RFP responses, and preconstruction planning • Collaborate closely with accounting on billings and financial controls • Ensure high standards of quality and safety across all phases Project Types • Private commercial design-build • Industrial and light manufacturing • Tenant improvements • Municipal and public works • K-12 and federal projects (as applicable) What We're Looking For • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience (8+ years for Senior PM consideration) • Experience managing projects $1M–$15M+ preferred • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods • Experience with public works documentation and compliance preferred • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project (or similar) • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong communication and leadership skills • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience Why WA Patriot? • Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) • Performance bonus program • 401(k) with company contribution • Medical, dental, and vision coverage • Vehicle allowance or company vehicle • PTO + paid holidays • Leadership growth opportunity in a company with a clear succession plan • Direct access to company leadership — no corporate layers You will be part of a firm that values: Lead | Build | Serve | Live We believe in developing leaders, supporting our field teams, and building lasting client relationships.
