Full Description

Job Title: Clerk / Administrative Assistant Location: Chicago, IL Contract Duration: 5 Months Description The selected staff will work under the supervision of the Client Coordinator as part of the Medical Record Review Team. The team is responsible for obtaining and performing accurate, comprehensive reviews of medical records in support of the Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) project. All reviews are completed in accordance with NCQA guidelines and technical specifications. Job Requirements • Minimum 7+ years of experience • High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal and written) • Proficiency in data entry and typing • PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes • Knowledge of medical terminology Duties and Responsibilities • Retrieve medical record data from the PO Box and distribute for scanning • Scan paper and faxed documents, identify members to the appropriate measures, and label files correctly • Enter data and update chase statuses using various software applications • Collaborate with Client Coordinator and QI Specialists to review project progress and resolve issues • Notify staff regarding incoming medical record requests • Contact provider offices to follow up on outstanding medical record requests • Route complex issues to QI Specialists or the Client Coordinator • Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality • Perform other related duties as assigned
