Bachelor's degree in engineering, 7+ years maintenance management experience in manufacturing, strong technical knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems and automation, leadership skills, and CMMS proficiency.
Key Responsibilities • Maintenance Strategy and Planning: • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy aligned with production objectives, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. • Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules for machinery, equipment, and facilities to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize asset utilization. • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify maintenance needs, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively. • Team Management and Leadership: • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and quality of work. • Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and development of maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning. • Promote teamwork, communication, and collaboration across maintenance teams and with other departments to achieve shared goals and objectives. • Equipment Maintenance and Repairs: • Oversee troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities for production machinery, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and utilities to ensure optimal performance and reliability. • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers for specialized maintenance services, spare parts procurement, and equipment upgrades or modifications. • Implement predictive maintenance techniques, such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis, to detect potential failures and proactively address maintenance issues. • Budgeting and Cost Management: • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including labor costs, spare parts inventory, equipment upgrades, and contracted services, to optimize spending and achieve cost targets. • Track maintenance expenses, analyze cost trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings through efficiency improvements, process optimization, and vendor negotiations. • Continuous Improvement and Reliability Engineering: • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and reliability engineering projects to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and lifespan. • Implement best practices, maintenance standards, and standardized procedures to improve maintenance efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase equipment uptime. • Collaborate with engineering teams on equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications And Skills • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 7 years' experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial automation. • Proven experience in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and condition-based maintenance (CBM) strategies. • Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop maintenance teams. • Proficiency in maintenance management software, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and MS Office Suite. • Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices related to maintenance operations. • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
