Job Title: Project Manager - Structural Steel Location: Mid-Atlantic and/or Southeast regions Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and support structural steel projects across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions. This role is part of a collaborative project management team. On-site presence is preferred in specific regional offices, but remote arrangements will be considered for highly qualified candidates. Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate with detailers to track drawing progress. • Identify, request, and follow up on required information from architects and engineers. • Conduct field measurements as needed. • Coordinate with trades, suppliers, and subcontractors. • Schedule production and delivery of structural steel materials. • Schedule and supervise steel erection activities. • Resolve job site issues to maintain project momentum. • Prepare, price, and negotiate change orders with general contractors, construction managers, or owners. • Collaborate with accounting for job cost estimates and financial tracking. • Manage close-out documentation. • Cultivate and maintain client relationships. • Develop and support erector relationships and capabilities. • Travel to job sites as required. • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership. Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication/erection OR • At least 3 years of experience plus a degree in architecture, construction management, or civil/structural engineering. • Proficiency in reading architectural and structural drawings is required.
