Overview Vuepoint Agency is seeking a contract Marketing Data Analyst with programming expertise to enhance campaign setup, tracking and measurement. This role will focus on implementing custom event tracking and conversion APIs across marketing platforms like Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, GTM, GA4 and more, to provide deeper, more actionable insights than standard platform tracking allows. In summary, this role will assist in making every conversion traceable and attributable across platforms with clean UTMs, accurate events, and privacy-compliant tracking—without heavy data engineering. About the Role The primary responsibility of this position is to set up advanced, custom tracking events that go beyond the capabilities of standard pixel/event tools. These custom setups will allow the Vuepoint team to better understand campaign effectiveness and optimize for stronger performance. You’ll collaborate with our team to: · Audit current analytics and event tracking · Recommend and implement custom events that reveal more granular user actions · Set up Conversion APIs and server-side tracking where applicable Key Responsibilities · Design and implement custom events for multiple client campaigns that include tracking across marketing platforms - Google Ads, Meta, YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit, to name a few. · Configure Google Enhanced Conversions for Leads and scheduled Offline Conversions (from CRM/Sheet export) where available. · Set up and manage Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Conversion APIs · Integrate server-side tracking when necessary to improve data reliability and reduce data loss from browser-based restrictions · Create documentation and provide technical guidance for the Vuepoint team · Assist in validating data accuracy and testing event triggers · Ensure that all campaigns meet privacy compliance requirements across platforms. Required Skills & Experience · Proven experience with custom event programming and tracking setup across marketing platforms - Google and Meta platforms are priority · Solid knowledge of Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), and Google Ads Platform · Experience with Meta Pixel, Facebook Conversion API, and Events Manager · Familiarity with tracking implementation for platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit Ads · Comfortable working with APIs and basic programming/scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or similar) · Comfort with CRM/file-based offline uploads · Practical QA chops; understands consent and PII hygiene · Experience with data layer configuration or backend tracking implementation · Strong analytical thinking with attention to data accuracy and performance measurement Nice-to-Have · Familiarity with data visualization/reporting tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau) · Experience working with privacy-compliant solutions for tracking (e.g., CAPI Gateway, cookie consent) Contract Details · Remote position · Hourly and project-based compensation (based on experience and scope) · Flexible availability with estimated workload of 10–20 hours per month to start · Opportunity for ongoing work and deeper integration with our analytics needs Job Type: Freelance Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 1 – 5 per week Work Location: Remote
