Venture University is hiring an Admissions Associate Venture University is a global venture capital and investing education platform that has been running cohorts since 2018. We work with investors, founders, operators, and professionals who are deeply curious about innovation, startups, and how capital shapes the future. We are looking for an Admissions Associate to help lead marketing, interviews, and admissions for Venture University. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup environment, constantly looks for ways to improve systems and outcomes, genuinely loves venture capital and innovation, and is highly organized, kind, and self-motivated. We do not micromanage. Location and work setup This role can be fully remote or based at the Venture University San Francisco office. Schedule Flexible schedule. We care about results and getting the work done, not fixed hours. Training Full training is provided, including programs, admissions process, sales approach, tools, and ongoing support. You will be working closely with the Head of Admissions, who has been with Venture University since it was founded, and will gain direct exposure to how admissions, partnerships, and growth have been built over time. There is meaningful opportunity to work on larger partnerships, group enrollments, and enterprise or organization-based sales as Venture University continues to grow. Our sales approach Admissions at Venture University is a white-glove, relationship-driven process. There is no pressure selling. We only enroll candidates who are a strong fit for the program and genuinely benefit from the experience. What you’ll do • Own the admissions process from first contact through enrollment • Interview prospective applicants and assess fit for Venture University programs • Guide applicants through a thoughtful, white-glove admissions experience • Communicate clearly and warmly with applicants via email, calls, and messaging • Drive enrollments, higher-value sales, and group enrollments through trust-based outreach and follow-up • Work with strategic partners on admissions, partnerships, and group sales initiatives • Support and execute marketing and social media efforts related to admissions • Continuously improve admissions processes, messaging, and workflows • Track applicants, follow-ups, and decisions in an organized and timely way • Collaborate with the Venture University team on cohort planning and growth • Represent Venture University with professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm Sales profile • Most sales range from $10,000 to $20,000 per enrollment • Commission is 10% on each sale • Typical commission is $1,000+ per sale • Target performance is 40+ enrollments per quarter • Strong performers who master the sales process can earn $40,000+ per quarter in commissions • White-glove, consultative sales with no pressure Who you are • Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment • Genuinely interested in venture capital, startups, innovation, and investing • Motivated by growth, improvement, and building better systems • Strong communicator who can build trust quickly • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Self-motivated and proactive (we do not micromanage) • Positive, kind, and thoughtful in how you work with people • Familiar with marketing, social media, and online communities • Able to manage multiple conversations, partners, and deadlines at once • Values integrity and fit over closing every lead Nice to have (but not required) • Experience in admissions, sales, partnerships, or community roles • Experience in venture, startups, finance, or tech ecosystems • Experience working on partnerships or group or enterprise sales • Based in San Francisco or familiar with the SF startup community • Experience using CRMs, Notion, Airtable, or similar tools Compensation Base salary of $55,000 per year Commission • 10% commission on each completed sale • Commission is earned on any sale where the Admissions Associate conducted the phone call(s) and handled applicant communication through enrollment • Applies regardless of lead source, including inbound marketing, referrals, strategic partners, or internal introductions • Typical deal size of $10,000 to $20,000 per sale • No cap on commission • Commission earned on fully paid enrollments • Paid monthly or quarterly with clear attribution rules Why Venture University • Work closely with a global venture capital and investor network • Be part of a thoughtful, kind, and mission-driven team • Learn directly from leadership that has built Venture University from the beginning • Full training provided with clear processes and support • Opportunity to grow into larger partnership and group sales responsibilities • Flexible, trust-based work environment focused on outcomes, not hours • Meaningful impact helping people access venture education and networks To apply Please send a short note about why Venture University interests you, along with your resume and any relevant links (LinkedIn, social media, writing, or past work).
