Manage the Portfolio Solutions project management team, oversee complex portfolio aspects, and drive business value across programs.
Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years managing teams and multiple projects with strong decision-making and analytical skills.
With minimal direction, provide management for the Portfolio Solutions project management team, setting the direction for operations and change-the-business initiatives; manage changing business needs, resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies. Provide strategic direction and management in the areas associated with maintaining a complex portfolio. Manage stakeholder relationships with senior-level management across various functions Collaborate with cross-functional business units around project planning, resourcing, and delivery Collaborate with IT technical teams and/or external consultants to ensure successful delivery of projects Provide leadership in the constructing of project teams, charters, project plans, contingencies, success metrics, and ROI measurements Guide project managers and analysts to ensure that project quality and project management standards are followed and continually improved Regularly interact with sponsors, stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure meeting or exceeding project deliverables Establish and monitor value metrics to inform decisions that maximize returns across enterprise projects and programs. Drive business value across all program activities Plan, implement, and continuously improve project management best practices and tool sets to streamline project processes and procedures and maximize operational effectiveness Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to functional area Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing performance of direct reports Project-related experience working on multiple concurrent simple to highly complex projects (project manager, business analyst, etc) Experience with various project management methodologies, standard concepts, practices, procedures, tools, and/or software packages Demonstrates ability to be a decision-maker, showing balanced consideration of business issues Ability to influence teams in various divisions toward common goals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Preferred Skills Demonstrated organizational change management experience #LI-VISIONCARE Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
