The Senior Business Process Analyst analyzes existing business processes and develops improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability. They engage with various departments to understand requirements and collaborate on solutions while researching best practices to support strategic goals.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, along with 6+ years of process improvement experience and Six Sigma certification. Strong analytical skills and experience in financial analysis and project planning are also required.
The Sr Business Process Analyst analyzes and measures the effectiveness of existing business processes and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements to meet business growth, quality, and scalability goals. Engages with other departments to better understand business requirements and collaborate on solutions. Research best business practices within and outside the department to establish benchmark data. Assess current processes and identify defects, root causes, gaps, and areas of improvement; balance technical expertise with a general understanding of business objectives to recommend innovative changes to develop and enhance processes and best practices to ensure maximum efficiency and appropriate utilization of resources Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data to support the strategic direction of the enterprise. Interpret customer needs, translate concepts into recommendations, and quantify results and trends Research, analyze, and report fluctuations in financial and business results to identify trends and research variances. Make recommendations to improve company performance, KPIs, cost control, and resolve issues Prepare detailed and accurate written reports with sound, actionable business insight for presentation to leadership Develop alternative views and future business needs to assist management in making business changes to stay ahead of the competition Apply advanced quantitative, qualitative, and analytical skills, as well as an ability to understand the big picture, and the varied needs of different stakeholders, to identify impacts and benefits Ability to decipher ambiguous requests, while able to synthesize information into recommendations across a variety of audiences Participate in discussions with technical experts on system functionality and impacts to identify technical solutions to meet business objectives Identify training and development materials, communications of changes, manuals, etc Create an implementation plan and provide post-implementation support, such as problem resolution, adjustments to new procedures, and change management Job Specifications Typically has the following skills or abilities: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience 6+ years of process improvement or process reengineering experience Six Sigma Black or Master Black Belt certification required Experience in data gathering, research, and analytics, problem identification, and presenting solution recommendations Experience with financial and risk analysis, making recommendations, and preparing business cases, including cost-benefit analysis In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and methodologies of in-depth and/breadth of expertise in own discipline, and broad knowledge of other disciplines within the function Experience with business process analytics using Excel, flowcharting, activity diagrams, and workflow models Advanced ability to use process improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, and other tools and techniques, including statistics and data analysis, as well as change leadership methodologies Ability to document, propose, negotiate, and present approaches and solutions Strong analytical skills with a strong working knowledge of the business to effectively translate business needs into processes, IT, or other solutions Ability to visualize and create plans for future business outcomes and changes Demonstrated experience using tracking, reporting, and process mapping tools Strong conflict management skills, effective influence, change management, and coaching skills Proven ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups at all levels of the organization Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time, both domestic and international Preferred Skills: Strong data analysis and mining experience Strong presentation skills Experienced in Six Sigma, DMAIC and Lean FOCUS Methodology #LI-VISIONCARE Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
