This is an equity-based internship, ideal for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully and be part of something long-term. Role Overview As a Backend Developer Intern, you will work closely with the founding team to design, build, and scale backend systems that power our product. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly impact the product and users. What You’ll Do Develop and maintain backend services and APIs Design scalable database structures Integrate third-party APIs and services Optimize application performance and security Collaborate with frontend and product teams Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions Tech Stack (Preferred Experience in One or More) Node.js / Express Python (Django / Flask / FastAPI) REST APIs PostgreSQL / MongoDB Firebase / Supabase Git & GitHub Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar) Who You Are Strong fundamentals in backend development Eager to learn and grow in a startup environment Self-driven and comfortable with ownership Good problem-solving skills Able to commit consistently What You’ll Gain Equity ownership in the company Real startup building experience Direct mentorship from founders Opportunity to transition into a long-term core team role Strong portfolio impact (build real, live products) Important Note • *This is a contribution-based, equity-only internship.
