Role Overview: As a Desktop Field Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting end users by providing on-site technical assistance and resolving hardware and software issues. You will be an essential part of the IT End User Technology Team, ensuring seamless technology operations and excellent customer service. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site desktop support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently. - You will install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and related equipment. - You will respond promptly to service requests and incidents, ensuring minimal downtime. - You will collaborate with the Help Desk team to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. - You will perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability. - You will document support activities and maintain accurate records of service requests. - You will assist in deploying new technology and upgrades across the organization. - You will work a Wednesday to Sunday schedule, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or field services. - Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite. - Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Willingness to work a Wednesday to Sunday schedule. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or similar. - Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems. - Knowledge of networking fundamentals and Active Directory. - Previous experience in a fast-paced IT support environment.
