Role Overview: As a Desktop Field Services Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting end users by providing on-site technical assistance and resolving hardware and software issues. You will be an integral part of the IT End User Technology Team, ensuring seamless technology operations and excellent customer service. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site desktop support to end users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues efficiently. - You will install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and related equipment. - You will respond promptly to service requests and incidents, ensuring minimal downtime. - You will collaborate with the Help Desk team to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. - You will document all service activities and maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions. - You will support software deployments and updates as directed by the IT team. - You will assist in maintaining IT inventory and asset management. - You will work a Wednesday to Sunday schedule, demonstrating flexibility and commitment. What You Bring: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in desktop support or field services. - Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite. - Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems. - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). - Familiarity with network troubleshooting and basic IT infrastructure. - Previous experience working in a fast-paced IT support environment.
