Job title: Assistant Project Manager - Construction Entry Level Company: Searchlogic Recruiting Job description: Immediate need for an Assistant Project Manager to join an established and growing Multifamily Construction Business located in Marietta, GA (near the Braves stadium) but with ongoing projects in different areas around metro Atlanta. We have a field role open as well as a role in the Marietta Home Office. The Assistant Project Manager will support the Senior Project Manager to get bids and negotiate with subcontractors, manage subcontractors, manage the project budget, manage the project schedule, and assure quality of work completed. The Assistant Project Manager will work with a positive and highly-motivated team of real estate, Finance and Construction professionals to learn or further develop their knowledge of the construction life cycle. This rotation of experience will allow for growth into a number of different disciplines within the business (Estimating, Project Management, Project Accounting/Finance) Responsibilities: • Receive bids and negotiate with subcontractors • Manage subcontractors on a day-to-day basis • Manage the schedule, budget, and quality of work done on all projects • Put together material lists and order materials • Travel to all active jobs which are all located in the metro Atlanta area • Correspondence with the client on any necessary tasks Qualifications for Assistant Project Manager • 0 to 3 years of construction related experience Preferred. • Bachelors degree REQUIRED • Construction Management Degree Preferred • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing • Computer and technical skills • Desire to learn the construction project management field and grow with a company. Demonstrated experience in Construction Services preferred • Professionally represent the company to the owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, government officials and inspectors • Detail oriented and driven Salary commensurate with experience.
