Job title: Key Account Manager Company: IDC Logistics, Inc. Job description: Position Summary The Key Account Manager is responsible for providing the customer with planning and forecasting as well as measuring and reporting KPIs related to the warehouse business. This position is responsible to assure the smooth flow of the customer’s product and troubleshooting of problems and delays as they arise. This position has daily interface with the customer and is fully integrated into the operation. Job Responsibilities • Lead KAM initiatives and work to establish account • Establish, document and maintain standard operating procedures • Establish and maintain key account plan and develop strategy for growth • Work with finance to ensure client P&Ls are accurate • Act as the liaison between customer’s operations and management teams • Generate and analyze statistical information to facilitate planning of new programs/opportunities. • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to enhance and monitor operations. • Assess operational performance, perform root cause analysis, and propose solutions. • Lead peak season flow management and planning efforts between customer and iDC • Work with customer to resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies • Monitor volume forecasts, pro-actively communicate any changes to the forecast for each facility that may impact the business. • Work to develop strong relationships with the customer and lead efforts to resolve any outstanding challenges. • Lead commercial development related opportunities as well any changes in customer’s business processes or contacts. • Leads sales initiatives and follows up on leads as required. • Manages the consultative pitch process from beginning to end including development of custom presentations and proposals • Represents Company at industry meetings to promote products/services • Leads special projects committees/assignments as required Minimum Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years of warehouse experience. • 8+ years of relevant experience • Experience managing strategic customers • History of strong sales performance achieving both annual revenue and gross profit targets • Able to inspire the trust of others, works with integrity and upholds organizational values. • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully and develop alternative solutions. • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. • Ability to travel to meet with operation management team, ocean carriers, ports and dray partners as needed. • Travel Local, and National– Frequent Visits to customer Skills/Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication, planning and organizing skills • Strong leadership, relationship management, and problem-solving skills • Must possess excellent customer service skills and be able to work with a variety of people and personalities. • Multi-tasking with quick pivots from task to task with changing business needs • Firm execution of loosely-defined projects and process improvement changes • Productive within a team environment • Close attention to detail • Must be able to adapt and flex to a changing environment iDC Logistics Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants without regard to race, religion, color, sex, national origin, citizenship status, uniform service member status, age, disability, sexual and gender orientation, genetic information or any other protected status in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.
