Instructional Designer and Training Development Specialist (TRAINING COOR. Embracing Service, Inspiring Innovation, Promoting Teamwork, Pursuing Excellence, and Advancing Equity Serves as the lead for instructional design and curriculum development for Public Health programs, designs and develops online courses utilizing a multi-stage process that includes action mapping, instructional design, graphic production, audio production, authoring, and publishing. Develops curriculum to enhance core public and preparedness competencies, which include assessment, analysis, implementation, and evaluation. Designs and develops solutions to address workforce development needs across Public Health disciplines by assessing training needs, identifying competencies and developing plans to address learning gaps. Serves as administrator and advisor for the Learning Management System (LMS). Provides analytical reports to monitor and track learner progress and program compliance. State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant training and development experience. Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Agency Additional Requirements: Knowledge of applicable training principles and practices to meet the needs of an adult learner. Knowledge of methods of techniques for conducting formal and online training. Knowledge of visual aid use and development. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to analyze training development needs and recommend and communicate solutions effectively. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be proficient with Microsoft office software i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Please note that the agency will require an official, certified copy of the transcript or diploma prior to hiring. • Demonstrated knowledge and application of learning theories. • Expertise in defining learning objectives and creating evaluation measures. • Ability to design effective test and survey questions. • Knowledge of lesson planning and curriculum design. • Demonstrated knowledge and application of visual design principles. • Experience in audio production (recording, editing). • Experience in creating multimedia elements to support content (images, diagrams, audio, video, screen recording, etc.). • Skilled in script-writing and excellent writing skills in general. • Expertise in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. • 3-5 years of proven experience in authoring programs (Articulate, Captivate). • Experience in Learning Management System administration. • Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
