Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Entry Representative to support our Quest Diagnostics operations in San Juan, PR. As a Data Entry Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient data entry processes, supporting billing operations, and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare services. Key Responsibilities • Perform data entry of billing mnemonics and all required billing information from imaged requisitions, including US postal address, medical codes, insurance carrier details, and more. • Follow procedural guidelines to enter information in systems and answer patient inquiries. • Navigate multiple computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, online applications, and mainframe applications. • Conduct basic research in computer applications to perform data entry, such as address, billing codes, and reject codes. • Utilize templates for letters and other correspondences. • Data entry, transfer, and entry of received data from Quest Diagnostics in required applications to start the billing cycle. • Research mail returns and update invoices with current information in the appropriate billing system and note patient bills with actions taken. • Research denied bills due to patient not being covered on the date of service, errors with patient information, or insurance information provided in the claim/bill and resolve for re-billing. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: • 1 year of data entry experience. • Customer service experience. • Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish. • Proficiency with computer, Windows PC, and web applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications. • Ability to work 40 hours/week during standard business operating hours, Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 4:30 pm (may require occasional overtime on weekends and holidays). Preferred Qualifications: • Medical billing experience. • Knowledge of medical or health insurance terminology. • Proven solid Microsoft Excel skills. Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need: • Excellent data entry skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication and customer service skills. • Ability to navigate multiple computer applications and learn new systems. • Basic research skills and ability to resolve issues. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
