In this role there is a specific focus on Data Analytics related skills such as SQL, dataset manipulation, effective use of Excel, and performance reporting. This highly visible role is perfect for a candidate who possesses strong technical and analytical skills, along with good communication skills. Our offices are based in the heart of the Loop in downtown Chicago, but we are pleased to note that our Chicago office is operating on a hybrid work model (mix of in-office and remote work). Key Responsibilities: • Develop analyses and other modeling using Excel, SQL, Tableau, and other tools that access the company’s financial database to support strategic decision making and initiatives • Identify and communicate material variances and ongoing trends which may impact company operating performance • Drive process improvement in the reporting, forecasting, and budgeting functions via automation and system enhancements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as accounting, human resources, data analytics, revenue management, and operations, to provide financial insights and support strategic planning • Contribute to monthly forecasting processes and annual budgets, including preparation of analyses and presentations for executive leadership and quarterly board meetings • Review financial variances to budget and forecast, and provide actionable variance explanations • Transform complex financial data into clear, concise, and visually appealing reports, presentations, and dashboards Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: • Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics or Economics • 1+ years of experience in an analytic role working with financial data • Demonstrated ability to distill large amounts of business data into actionable insights • Advanced Excel skills • Experience using SQL or knowledge of other database programming/visualization tool(s) – such as Python or Tableau • Sense of curiosity, urgency, and excitement around solving business questions • Strong written and verbal communication skills At The Parking Spot, we don’t just accept difference - we celebrate and seek it.
