We are looking for an Accounting Manager – Leasing to join our team specializing in Quality for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Columbus, IN In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: • Responsible for performing and/or overseeing highly specialized accounting work required to maintain the department’s general ledger. Is also in-charge of resolving complex accounting issues resulting from routine and non-routine accounting transactions. • Manages a team of accountants and/or a complex process that interacts with multiple individuals outside of the department. • Ensures the timely recording, analyzing and reporting of accounting transactions. Reviews general ledger entries, account reconciliations, internal and external reports, schedules and statements. • Responds to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, Sarbanes-Oxley audit group and others regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc. Reviews existing internal controls on a regular basis and develops new internal controls as necessary. • Makes and implements recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures. • Implements new accounting standards. • Provides training to new and existing staff as needed. • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Education, Licenses, Certifications College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification required. Experience Significant experience required, including supervisory experience. • Manage a team of accountants performing global leasing work for all business units. • Serves as a key business partner and manages stakeholder interactions for all business units/functional groups supported by the leasing team, driving clarity in impacts to financial results and collaborates on identifying and prioritizing key improvement projects to be executed. • Coaches and mentors team leaders; delegates project assignments based on availability, ability, and developmental needs; provides developmental feedback to team members. • Monitors and supports processes to ensure quality balance sheet reconciliations. • Key project leader for system implementations and process improvements identified in the transformation space. • Understanding of key accounting standards applicable in the leasing space to identify correct application in accounting practices with primary focus on US GAAP • Key liaison with external auditors and internal controls for supporting audit processes in the leasing space including providing supporting information and communicating key changes in processes or procedures. Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
