Software Engineer in Test US REMOTE (AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NH, NV, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX) About VivoSense VivoSense is a science and technology company specializing in digital health technologies (DHTs), including wearable sensors, mobile applications, and connected monitoring tools. We partner with pharmaceutical sponsors, healthcare providers, and academic groups to develop and deliver real-world digital clinical measures backed by rigorous scientific and analytic expertise. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a passion for learning new things and a self-starter attitude. The ideal candidate should be comfortable navigating an ambiguous environment, devising solutions that fit user needs, and implementing them. Key Responsibilities Software Development Design, develop, deploy, maintain, and improve software features and platform capabilities. Own technical solutions and feature implementation from design through production. Write clean, maintainable, testable code and participate in code reviews. Create technical designs and implementation specifications for new features and platform enhancements. Use AI-assisted development practices to accelerate design, coding, code review, testing, debugging, and technical documentation while maintaining appropriate engineering and quality controls. Partner with internal and external engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions end to end. Work with Science, Product, Quality, and Engineering teams to understand requirements, priorities, and expected outcomes. Troubleshoot software and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions. Identify opportunities to improve architecture, automation, maintainability, reliability, and development efficiency. Quality Engineering, Testing & Release Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, API, system, and regression tests. Plan and execute manual and automated testing for new features, fixes, and releases. Create and maintain test plans, test cases, traceability, validation evidence, and other required quality documentation. Investigate defects, verify fixes, and ensure appropriate regression coverage. Partner with Product Management and Engineering on release planning, scope, testing strategy, and release readiness. Support validation, regression testing, release execution, and post-release verification. Continuously improve test automation, test coverage, release quality, and software delivery processes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. 3–6 years of experience in software development, with experience or strong interest in software quality and test automation. Strong programming skills and ability to contribute to both production software and automated testing. Experience with modern software development practices including code review, debugging, automated testing, CI/CD, and version control. Good understanding of cloud-native and enterprise application architectures. Understanding of Agile development and experience working with distributed teams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical documentation skills. Ability to take ownership of software delivery from implementation through testing and release. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Kotlin, Ktor, Kafka, Angular, Python, or similar technologies. Experience with API, integration, UI, or regression test automation. Experience working within a regulated Quality Management System such as ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 11, or 21 CFR 820. Experience creating validation documentation, traceability, test evidence, or release records. Experience with system design and AI-assisted development or testing tools. Ability to work effectively in a small team where responsibilities span development, quality, and delivery. Salary range $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience and location
