14330 - Cybersecurity & Risk Manager – Houston, TX Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions Work Setting: 100% of the time at the client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client. Required: • Experience in cybersecurity and risk management (5+ years); • Experience with security frameworks, threat landscapes, and business operations; • Experience with regulatory requirements and industry standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, etc.); • Experience managing security tools including firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and access controls; • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent). Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures aligned with business objectives; • Oversee security risk assessments and manage the organization’s cybersecurity risk posture; • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST; • Monitor security infrastructure, respond to security incidents, breaches, and vulnerabilities, and lead coordinated incident response with IT teams; • Manage security tools including firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and access controls; • Support regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing, and track and report security metrics and KPIs to leadership; • Manage third-party vendor security assessments and contracts and act as a security subject matter expert while partnering with business units to integrate security best practices into daily operations.
