Lead and manage a western US outside field sales team to achieve regional sales goals and expand market presence in the Natural Health channel.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years sales management in Natural Health industry, strong sales track record, CRM skills, valid driver’s license, and 50% travel capability.
This is a critical sales leadership role, responsible for driving, revenue growth and market expansion across the western United States. This position requires direct management of our outside field sales team, compromised of both independent brokers and employed representatives, while ensuring the achievement of regional sales objectives and strategic initiatives in the Natural Health channel Key, responsibilities and team, leadership & management • Directly manage and lead western US outside field sales team, including independent brokers and employed representatives. • Hire, train, and when necessary, terminate brokerage firms and employed representatives within the region. • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development to ensure team members achieve their individual and collective goals. • Conduct frequent ride along with all regional field representatives to provide hands-on support and training. • Create accountability structures, and performance management systems for the regional team to include regular one on one calls and twice annually performance reviews. Sales Performance & Strategy: • Achieve regional net revenue, goals, and ensure team members meet their individual sales target. • Drive promotional program Cell in an in-store execution and new product placement objectives through the field sales team. • Drive expanded distribution through the field sales team by opening new independent health food stores. • Assist field representatives with challenging accounts and complex negotiations. • Directly manage relationships with certain key accounts within the region as assigned. Contribute to the annual budgeting and planning process. Field Operations: • Ensure field representatives effectively serviced Natural channel retailers within their assigned territories with proper frequency and visitation quality. • Oversee the delivery of educational support and training to retail partners. • Coordinate and support field education, initiatives and events, ensuring field reps, understand expectations related to these events. • Manage regional expense budget. Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor degree in business, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience. • minimum five years of sales management experience in The Natural product industry. • track record of achieving sales targets and developing high performance teams. • Strong understanding of the Natural Health retail channel and Broker management. • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills • Proficiency in CRM systems in Microsoft office suite. • Valid drivers license and ability to travel minimum of 50% of the time. Working Conditions: • This is a full-time role with a minimum 50% travel required within the western US region. • frequent Store visits in fieldwork with the ability to lift and carry product samples and marketing materials up to 30 pounds. • Homebase position with regular travel to retail locations, trade shows outside rep territories and company meetings. • Must be able to work, flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends for events Reporting structure: This position reports directly to the Director of Outside Sales. Compensation and benefits: • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
