We are passionate about showcasing the areas unique attractions and fostering memorable experiences for visitors from around the world. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Communications Manager to lead our strategic communication efforts. In this role, you will craft compelling messages, manage media relations, and elevate our brand presence across multiple channels. Your expertise will help us connect with diverse audiences, enhance our public image, and support our mission to attract visitors and promote local events. • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals. • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other public relations materials following AP style guidelines. • Manage media relations by building strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to secure coverage. • Oversee social media management, creating engaging content that highlights events, attractions, and community stories. • Coordinate public speaking engagements and represent the organization at community events or press conferences. • Conduct research to monitor media trends, audience preferences, and competitor activities to inform communication plans. • Proofread all outgoing content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency while maintaining a professional tone. • Build and update landing pages using WordPress. • Support basic SEO and emerging GEO content optimization best practices. • Produce and distribute consumer facing email communications. • Organize and support familiarization tours, press visits and hosting content creators. • Strong public speaking abilities to confidently present information to diverse audiences. • Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail; proficiency in AP style is essential • Proven experience in media relations, including pitching stories and managing press inquiries. • Excellent research skills to gather insights that shape effective messaging strategies. • Background in journalism or marketing is highly desirable; experience in public relations or social media management is a plus. • Ability to craft compelling press releases and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders effectively. • Experience with email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and media monitoring software.
