Application Development Digital UX/UI Designer - Charlotte, Atlanta or Birmingham Pay Rate: $36/hour, 40 hours/week with an opportunity to convert to a full-time employee. Role: Contractor (not Corp-to-Corp 1099) Location: Remote - must currently reside in Birmingham, Atlanta or Charlotte area Length: September 3, 2025, to March 31, 2026 VisionCor Solutions partners with leading organizations to deliver exceptional solutions. Join our team and support our client’s projects. We are currently seeking an Application Development Digital UX/UI Designer I to work for us supporting our client with HQ in Birmingham, AL. The Digital User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) Designer is part of a User Experience team with a clear purpose to drive user-centered design for the betterment of customers and business groups. As a designer, you'll work as an active partner on inclusive, cross-functional UX squads throughout the digital product lifecycle to design innovative, meaningful solutions that create a desirable customer experience. Responsibilities: · Collaborates with cross-functional teams (technology, user experience, product) to influence website design and development · Advocates for the customer using human-centered design methods · Creates wireframes, layouts, storyboards, etc. resulting in delivery of low-to-high fidelity prototypes of digital designs · Creates digital icons and illustrations as needed · Manages website images: sourcing, sizing, uploading to Content Management System (CMS) · Contributes to and ensure designs are in line with design system and industry best practices · Partners with user research colleagues on observational and usability studies with users · Supports effective storytelling and presentation of design concepts to various stakeholders · Stays up to date with the latest UX design trends, tools, and techniques relevant to the financial industry · Connects with design community peers in service of learning, sharing, and teaching as well as consistency across platforms Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and two (2) years relevant experience with UX Design, Or High School Diploma or GED and six (6) years of related post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience with UX Design · Experience using design tools: Photoshop, Figma, Figjam · Experience in Content Management System (CMS) Skills: · Ability to edit photos in Photoshop · Ability to design digital layouts, preferably in Figma · Ability to source and size images · Ability to create icons, illustrations, visual designs · Understanding of web, online banking and mobile design · Ability to showcase design, process and problem-solving skills · Demonstrate empathetic understanding of how design impacts a variety of users · Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills · Strong work ethic and self-motivation Got Skills?
