Overview Join our dedicated team as a Behavioral Health Technician, working Saturday through Wednesday from 4pm to 12am. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate support and direct care to individuals with diverse behavioral health needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, PTSD, and substance use challenges. Your energetic approach will help create a safe, nurturing environment where clients can thrive and progress toward their goals. Responsibilities • Assist with intake assessments and develop personalized care plans for clients experiencing behavioral health challenges • Monitor and document client behaviors, collecting data to inform treatment strategies • Implement behavior management techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), to promote positive behaviors • Support medication administration and vital signs monitoring in accordance with medical protocols and HIPAA regulations • Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to de-escalate situations safely and effectively • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care • Maintain accurate medical records, logs, and documentation of all interactions following confidentiality standards Skills • Experience working with children, individuals with autism, or those with developmental disabilities is highly valued • Strong knowledge of crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management strategies • Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and understand medical terminology related to behavioral health • Proficiency in collecting data, tracking vital signs, and recording medical records securely under HIPAA guidelines • Excellent communication skills for working with patients, families, and team members in a compassionate manner • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), addiction counseling, and social work principles is a plus • Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations calmly while ensuring safety for clients and staff This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in behavioral health while making a positive impact on the lives of others.
