This role involves monitoring and analyzing data from different sources which include SIEM, EDR, Dark Web, Firewall, NAC, Vulnerability Management, and Phishing through analytics and AI to help keep the organization informed of ongoing threats and to create actionable reports and metrics to assist in the prioritization and remediation of vulnerabilities. Position Responsibilities: Provide senior level analysis and advice on potential security incidents by analyzing information from the Dark Web to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. Create and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of security tools and strategies. Must build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the development of security strategies and plans. Collect, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence data. Develop and maintain intelligence reports and assessments to assist in identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating potential security threats. Prepare and present regular reports to the VP of Cybersecurity on threat intelligence data, metrics, and KPI’s. Supports projects by collaborating with IS Management, Project Managers & Leads for resource planning, matching staff skills set with project requirements. Reviews project status, staff project task completion and provide input to update; enforces consistent policies/procedures templates and project documentation; supports transition to support. Works constructively with vendors and IT partners to ensure on-going service and resolution of issues; participates in vendor contract review and negotiation; establishes and manages equipment and repair vendor relationships to ensure the best service value for Virtua. Adheres to IS Business Practices and available for 24/7 support as needed. Position Qualifications Required: Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of applicable experience required. Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g. Python, Perl, SQL) required. Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems preferred. Strong knowledge and experience with data analytics and AI platforms Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, tools, and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of security and confidentiality. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity Engineering, related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Training / Certification / Licensure: SANS Security Certification within the first 6 months of hire Annual Salary: $90,431 - $148,994 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant’s experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
