Practice Lead | Software Engineering and Product Development Virtasant, a leading provider of cloud and technology services, is seeking an experienced leader to head our global Software Engineering and Product Development practice. The ideal candidate possesses a robust background in cloud-native software development, product development methods, and extensive experience leveraging AI-based solutions, AI-driven automation for software development and deployment. This role would be responsible for leading the growth of our Software Engineering and Product Development practice globally, reporting to Virtasant’s Founder & CEO. Virtasant is fully remote, so you can work from anywhere and build your team with the best technology professionals from all over the world. Responsibilities: - Lead Virtasant's global Software Engineering and Product Development practice, overseeing practice strategy, practice development, and client project delivery. - Develop and implement advanced software engineering solutions, with an emphasis on cloud-native AI products and applications. - Continuously enhance and expand Virtasant’s engineering capabilities and methods, including leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies to enhance and automate the entire software development lifecycle. - Collaborate closely with leadership, sales, and delivery teams to ensure alignment of software engineering efforts with client needs and Virtasant's business goals. - Directly oversee major client engagements, ensuring exceptional quality, timely delivery, and high client satisfaction. - Build, mentor, and lead globally distributed software engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. - Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies, particularly in AI, cloud-native software development, and automation, to drive ongoing innovation in Virtasant’s offerings. Qualifications: - Minimum of 10+ years leading software engineering and product development teams, particularly in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Demonstrated expertise in building and deploying AI-based solutions, including experience with agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and AI-driven automation tools. - Proven track record of successfully managing client-facing software development projects in professional services or consulting environments. - Strong understanding of modern software development practices, CI/CD, microservices architectures, and cloud-native applications. - Experience leading globally distributed engineering teams, driving both technical and professional growth. - Excellent strategic vision, decision-making abilities, and client-facing communication skills. - Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with significant autonomy.
