Full Description

Overview We are seeking a highly organized and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our front desk team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional administrative support while ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical office procedures, EMR systems, and excellent patient service skills to foster a welcoming environment for all visitors. Prior clinic or medical office experience, along with familiarity with various EMR platforms is highly desirable but not needed, We will train the right person. Bilingual abilities and knowledge of dental terminology are considered a plus. Responsibilities • Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently • Schedule appointments using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coordinate follow-up visits • Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures • Collect payments and process medical billing and collections accurately • Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of health information • Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in medical records • Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately • Assist with medical intake procedures and update patient information as needed • Support clinic operations by managing filing, faxing, scanning, and data entry tasks using Microsoft Office and other office software • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. • Coordinate with healthcare providers regarding care plans and documentation review as necessary • Perform clerical duties including typing and maintaining organized filing systems Skills • Experience with insurance verification processes and health information management • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone • Bilingual abilities are preferred to assist diverse patient populations This position offers an opportunity to be an integral part of our amazing Retina practice, committed to providing quality care to all our patients. • Salary commensurate with experience Pay: From $18.00 per hour Benefits: • Health insurance • Paid time off Work Location: In person
