Run and validate thermal design test cases with customers, provide training, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve AI assistant features.
Degree in engineering with 3+ years thermal engineering experience, strong thermal analysis knowledge, communication skills, and hands-on CAD/simulation tool experience.
About Us We are building an AI assistant for hardware design. Our product helps engineers explore, analyze, and optimize hardware systems, integrating cutting-edge AI with the realities of engineering design workflows. Role Overview We are seeking an Thermal Application Engineer who will work directly with customers to run and validate their test cases through our product. You’ll act as a bridge between our technology and our users, ensuring that customer needs are understood, test cases are well-executed, and results are actionable. Additionally, you will help customers with questions about how to use our software and also provide training on using new features. You’ll collaborate closely with our customers, as well as our product and engineering teams to help customers evaluate and deploy AI-assisted workflows. This position requires a strong thermal engineering foundation—you should be comfortable owning thermal analysis discussions with customers (heat transfer, CFD/FEA thermal simulation, cooling architecture, derating/reliability implications, etc.). Responsibilities Work directly with customers to run, debug, and validate thermal design test cases using our AI assistant. Collaborate with customers’ engineers to interpret results, provide insights, and recommend workflows. Document use cases, best practices, and lessons learned for internal and customer-facing knowledge bases. Provide feedback to the product and engineering teams to improve features, accuracy, and user experience. Support customer onboarding, training, and integration of the AI assistant into existing design processes. Qualifications Required: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline 3+ years on thermal engineering experience in hardware product development or simulation workflows Strong working knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and cooling strategies for electronics or physical systems. Strong ability to communicate technical results clearly to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders. Hands-on experience with engineering tools (CAD, simulation software, etc.). Preferred: Experience working in customer-facing roles (applications engineering, solutions engineering, field engineering, or technical consulting). Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to quickly learn new tools and workflows. Why Join Us Be part of a team defining the future of AI in hardware design. Work at the intersection of advanced AI, real-world engineering, and customer success. Collaborate with world-class engineers and researchers in a fast-moving startup environment.
