Our COMPAS® program supports critical air emissions compliance and performance accuracy services, helping clients stay ahead of evolving environmental regulations. We are seeking a highly skilled Air Compliance Engineer who brings strong technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive, detail-driven mindset to support our growing client base. Position Overview The Air Compliance Engineer plays a key role in delivering air emissions compliance services to existing clients under VIM’s COMPAS® program. This role requires the ability to work efficiently and independently in a remote environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy, communication, and customer service. You will support emissions data reporting, regulatory compliance analysis, quality assurance efforts, and ongoing monitoring of federal air regulations that impact client operations. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support for quarterly emissions data reporting (EDR) services, including: • Generating 40 CFR Part 75 EDRs and Part 60 excess emissions reports via DAS systems • Performing QA/QC using ECMPS, Excel, and proprietary VIM data evaluation tools • Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving reporting discrepancies • Communicating clear, concise findings and summaries to clients • Develop and maintain 40 CFR Parts 60, 63, and 75 CEMS Quality Assurance and Monitoring Plans • Become proficient in CEMLink DAS software, with emphasis on compliance-related functionality • Conduct air permit reviews and regulatory assessments • Monitor and research upcoming environmental regulations and communicate potential impacts internally • Support client inquiries and assist with customer support as needed • Participate in internal quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives • Travel occasionally to client sites, conferences, or user group meetings as needed Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Engineering • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the CEMS / DAS / air compliance industry • Strong working knowledge of federal air regulations related to CEMS • Knowledge and experience with 40 CFR Part 75 • Proven ability to interpret regulatory requirements and communicate them effectively to clients and internal teams • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fully remote environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience supporting EPA reporting systems (ECMPS) • Advanced Excel skills for data validation and analysis • Prior client-facing or consulting experience • Familiarity with QA/QC frameworks in environmental compliance Why Join VIM Technologies • Fully remote role with flexibility and autonomy • Opportunity to work with industry-leading compliance technology • Collaborative, knowledgeable team with deep regulatory expertise • Meaningful work that directly supports environmental compliance and accountability Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits: • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Paid time off • Retirement plan • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Please provide a cover letter detailing your CEMS/DAS/air compliance and 40 CFR Part 75 experience.
