Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Viken Detection, you will play a vital role in supporting our global customer base by providing expert training to service partners and performing on-site diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of our detection equipment. Your technical expertise and customer-focused approach will ensure optimal performance and reliability of our products. What You'll Do: - You will conduct worldwide training sessions for service partners to ensure proper use and maintenance of Viken Detection equipment. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on-site to minimize downtime and maintain customer satisfaction. - You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on detection systems to ensure operational efficiency. - You will collaborate with the engineering and support teams to communicate field feedback and improve product design. - You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and training sessions. - You will travel internationally to customer sites, adapting to diverse environments and cultures. - You will provide technical support and guidance to customers and partners remotely when necessary. What You Bring: - You have at least 3 years of experience in field service or technical support roles, preferably in detection or electronic equipment. - You possess strong diagnostic and repair skills with a solid understanding of electronic systems. - You have excellent communication and training abilities to effectively transfer knowledge to service partners. - You are comfortable with international travel and working independently in diverse settings. - You hold a relevant technical certification or degree in electronics, engineering, or a related field. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with X-ray or security scanning equipment. - Multilingual skills, especially in English and additional languages. - Familiarity with software tools used for remote diagnostics and reporting. - Previous experience working in a global customer support environment.
