Role Overview: As a Field Service Technician at Viken Detection, you will play a vital role in supporting our global customer base by providing expert training to service partners and ensuring the optimal performance of our detection systems. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our products to uphold our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do: - You will conduct worldwide training sessions for service partners to ensure proper maintenance and repair techniques. - You will diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with detection equipment in the field. - You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance to maximize system uptime and reliability. - You will collaborate with the engineering and customer support teams to resolve complex technical problems. - You will document service activities and provide detailed reports to management. - You will travel internationally to support installations, upgrades, and emergency repairs. - You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of product developments and industry standards. What You Bring: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service or technical support roles, preferably in security or detection technology. - Strong diagnostic and repair skills with electronic and mechanical systems. - Excellent communication and training abilities to effectively instruct service partners. - Willingness to travel internationally up to 50% of the time. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with X-ray or radiation detection equipment. - Technical certification or degree in electronics, engineering, or related field. - Multilingual skills to support diverse global customers. - Familiarity with software tools for remote diagnostics and reporting.
