Lead and manage the HR department functions including employee relations, compliance, policy implementation, and staff management.
Bachelor's degree with 6+ years HR experience including 3+ years as HR Business Partner, strong knowledge of HR disciplines, employment laws, and excellent communication and organizational skills.
Job Description: • Lead and direct the routine functions of the People (HR) department, including administering pay, benefits, leave and enforcing company policies and practices. • Facilitate and execute employee onboarding, i9 verifications & offboarding. • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. • Manage one People Ops Specialist. • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies. • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal counsel as needed/required. • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. • Plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, activities and staff of the People (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. • Lead and ensure operationalization of company policies and programs (systems and processes). • Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance. • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice and resources to upper management. Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. • 6+ years of HR/People experience, 3+ years of HRBP related experience. • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management and federal and state respective employment laws. • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and the administrative practices related to those factors. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
