Job Type Full-time Description The Member Services Manager supports site operations of the Victory Connector, a harm reduction respite center for women and transgender individuals who use drugs. This includes maintenance of program supply inventory, maintenance of site protocol, milieu support and oversight, and staff supervision. Essential Functions • Act in accordance with Victory Programs, Inc.’s Standards of Excellence & Philosophy Care at all times including maintaining professional ethics, boundaries and client confidentiality and working from a strength-based perspective using evidence based practices (MI, CBT, Harm Reduction etc.) • Maintain compliance of protocols established by Victory Programs and local regulatory authorities, including but not limited to HIV/STI testing, street outreach, Naloxone distribution. • Provide training and administrative supervision for assigned direct-care staff. • Assess and respond to incidents utilizing established de-escalation protocol and/or supplemental appropriate emergency response procedures. • Provide technical assistance on de-escalation techniques where needed. • Support program leadership team in the maintenance and enforcement of Victory Connector Membership Guidelines, including member suspensions and programmatic restrictions. • Manage monthly program supply inventory and ordering in coordination with the program leadership. • Serve as point person for coordination of repair or service needs in coordination with the program leadership team and Facilities department. • Educate direct-care staff on topics related to substance use practice, harm reduction, current trends in street drugs, and survival practices for people experiencing homelessness. • Provide syringe services, naloxone, and harm reduction supplies for individuals at risk for overdose of infectious disease transmission. • Oversee client registration process. • Manage protocol and oversight of harm reduction and hygiene and supply distribution, including service window. • Oversee the onsite coordination of volunteers and volunteer events. • Uphold agency protocols for data collection and record management. • Attend weekly supervision, monthly staff meetings, and periodic professional development training and workshops as requested by the supervisor. • Adhere to the Victory Programs Confidentiality Policies and Procedures at all times and in the course of all interactions. Qualifications Lived experience related to the scope of work is highly valued and can be considered in place of educational or experience requirements on a circumstantial basis. LGBTQIA+ identified persons, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC), and individuals from other historically underrepresented communities are strongly encouraged to apply. • Previous experience working in human services and/or a drop-in setting required. • Two years of supervisory/management experience required. • Previous experience in nonviolent crisis intervention, de-escalation, and milieu management strongly preferred. • Working knowledge of HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis, homelessness, substance use, STIs, and sex work as well as health-related social issues faced by persons who use drugs. • Ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, sex and drug cultures, age groups, religion, country of origin, disability and economic status. • Excellent verbal communication skills including an ability to have open and affirming conversations about sex and substance use risk. • Ability to work in an environment that involves potentially hazardous materials (blood borne pathogens, discarded syringes, etc.) and situations that require safety precautions and/or the use of protective equipment. • Demonstrated competence in service coordination and networking with other human service and health care providers. • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and the internet. • Must be CPR certified (may be obtained upon hire) • Completed TB screening (may be obtained upon hire) • Three work related professional references; at least 2 from manager or supervisor. • Bilingual capacity preferred. Position Type: Full-time (40 hours) Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. On site.
