Full Description

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst for a 100% remote position on a large federal government project supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under the PTEMS contract. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and leadership skills with experience developing work breakdown structures, managing program schedules, and engaging with business stakeholders to evaluate and optimize business processes. This role involves close collaboration with developers, designers, and project managers in a SAFe Agile environment. The candidate must reside within the continental US. Responsibilities: Lead Agile planning and design sessions, supporting all aspects of SAFe software development. Create and maintain work breakdown structures and detailed program schedules, assigning development team members to project tasks. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to collect, analyze, and translate business needs into actionable requirements. Identify and resolve project issues by analyzing complex business problems and recommending IT-based solutions. Partner with developers and UX/UI designers to ensure visual concepts align with business and functional requirements. Document requirements, coordinate team communications, and conduct post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Support business system objectives by gathering and analyzing user needs, data, and processes. Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role. Demonstrated experience with data analytics, programming concepts, and process improvement. Experience designing basic UX/UI wireframes and presenting layout functionality to clients. Proficiency in ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA for Agile project tracking. Experience conducting requirements elaboration, business process documentation, and system analysis. Certifications in business analysis or Agile methodologies (e.g., CBAP, IIBA, SAFe Practitioner). Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Additional Qualifications: Experience with SAFe/Agile frameworks; SAFe Practitioner certification preferred. Prior experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal government agencies. Ability to obtain and maintain a government clearance.
