About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled professional with strong expertise in Workday Payroll combined with hands-on experience in Kronos (UKG) and/or Symplr Time & Attendance configuration and implementation. This role requires deep understanding of payroll processing, system configuration, integrations, and operational alignment between HR, Finance, and Time Management systems. Key Responsibilities: • Lead configuration, enhancement, and support of Workday Payroll, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing. • Configure and optimize Kronos / UKG or Symplr Time & Attendance modules including time entry rules, accruals, pay rules, and schedules. • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Payroll, and IT teams to ensure alignment between Workday Payroll, Time & Attendance, and the new Workday Financials system. • Participate in the end-to-end implementation lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support. • Support and troubleshoot payroll and time-related issues across systems, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity. • Work closely with integration teams to maintain and optimize interfaces between Workday Payroll, Kronos/Symplr, and Workday Financials. • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal control requirements. • Create and maintain detailed documentation, process flows, test cases, and user guides. • Provide user training and support to payroll teams, HR stakeholders, and managers. • Recommend process improvements to streamline payroll operations and enhance employee experience. Required Skills & Experience: • Strong hands-on experience in Workday Payroll configuration and support. • Expertise in Kronos (UKG) or Symplr Time & Attendance configuration and implementation. • Experience working on projects involving Workday Financials or ERP alignment is highly desirable. • Proficient in payroll tax compliance, Wage and Hour laws , Overtime requirements etc. • Good understanding of payroll data and reporting in Workday / Symplr time and attendance system. • Experience with Functional Design, Configuration, Test case preparation, Test execution and remediation , end user training and documentation. • Solid understanding of end-to-end U.S. payroll processes, tax calculations, deductions, earnings, and compliance rules. • Experience creating and troubleshooting payroll integrations (e.g., Workday Studio, EIB, PECI). • Proven experience collaborating across HR, Payroll, and Finance functions on cross-functional projects. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and system troubleshooting abilities. • Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: • Workday Certifications (Payroll, Time Tracking, Financials) are a plus. • Experience with ERP transformation or system modernization projects. • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Workday PRISM or Advanced Reporting. • Experience with testing, validation, and payroll parallel testing cycles. Soft Skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in payroll delivery. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Strong documentation and training skills.
