Role Overview: As a Data Engineer on the Ride and Fleet Software team, you will play a critical role in connecting users to our autonomous infrastructure. Your work will support the delivery of seamless autonomous ride services by designing and maintaining robust data pipelines and systems. What You'll Do: - You will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support autonomous ride and fleet operations. - You will collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate data solutions across the platform. - You will optimize data workflows for performance and reliability in a hybrid cloud environment. - You will monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure high availability and data integrity. - You will implement data quality checks and validation processes. - You will contribute to the development of data architecture and best practices. - You will document data processes and provide training to team members. - You will stay current with emerging data technologies and recommend improvements. What You Bring: - 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar. - Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in autonomous vehicle or mobility software domains. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Background in machine learning data pipelines. - Experience with real-time data processing frameworks.
