Job Title: Data Engineer - Ride and Fleet Software Company Overview: Vertex Sigma Software is a pioneering technology company dedicated to revolutionizing autonomous mobility solutions. Role Overview: As a Data Engineer on the Ride and Fleet Software team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our autonomous ride services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration, enabling real-time decision-making and enhancing user experience. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support autonomous ride and fleet operations. - You will collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to integrate data solutions. - You will optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure high performance and reliability. - You will implement data quality checks and monitor data integrity across systems. - You will troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly to minimize service disruptions. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture and infrastructure. - You will document data processes and workflows to support team knowledge sharing. - You will stay updated with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices. What You Bring: - 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar. - Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and ETL tools. - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the autonomous vehicle or mobility industry. - Knowledge of real-time data processing and streaming technologies like Kafka. - Background in machine learning data pipelines. - Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
