Job Title: Data Engineer - Ride and Fleet Software Company Overview: Vertex Sigma Software is a pioneering technology company dedicated to revolutionizing autonomous mobility. Role Overview: As a Data Engineer on the Ride and Fleet Software team, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that supports our autonomous ride services. Your work will enable the team to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient data solutions that drive the future of mobility. What You'll Do: - You will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines to support real-time and batch processing needs. - You will collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to integrate data solutions into autonomous ride and fleet systems. - You will optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure high performance and scalability. - You will monitor and troubleshoot data workflows to maintain data quality and system reliability. - You will implement data security and compliance measures to protect sensitive information. - You will contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture and engineering best practices. - You will document data processes and provide training to team members on data tools and methodologies. What You Bring: - 3+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow or similar. - Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid team environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience in the autonomous vehicle or mobility industry. - Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. - Background in machine learning data pipelines. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
