Full Description

We are seeking a Data Conversion Lead to provide leadership and guidance on complex data migration projects. This role will work directly with clients to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve defect issues while collaborating with internal technical teams and external partners when needed. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in data conversion, defect management, and customer-facing project leadership, with the ability to both strategize and dive into the details of execution. Roles & Responsibilities • Lead data conversion efforts, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and readiness for implementation. • Partner with client stakeholders to investigate, triage, and resolve defect issues. • Develop, update, and execute conversion playbooks, including data cuts and validation processes. • Facilitate customer discussions to align on data validation, defect resolution, and go/no-go criteria. • Drive defect management processes, including tracking, root cause analysis, and resolution. • Oversee and contribute to data validation, functional testing, and issue tracking. • Create and maintain detailed conversion schedules and hour-by-hour execution plans. • Collaborate with data mapping and technical teams to translate requirements into actionable tasks. • Manage and coordinate "war room" style conversion activities during cutovers. • Provide escalation support and ensure timely communication with both internal teams and external consultants as needed. Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience leading or co-leading data conversion projects from legacy to modern platforms. • Strong background in defect management, including triage, issue tracking, and root cause analysis. • Hands-on experience working directly with clients in customer-facing project leadership roles. • Prior experience managing data validation, mapping exercises, and testing cycles. • Ability to develop and execute structured conversion playbooks and project plans. • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage timelines, entry/exit criteria, and go/no-go decision points. • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across technical teams, stakeholders, and clients. • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
