Experience scheduling nursing or C.N.A. staff in a skilled nursing facility, proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office, and ability to manage staffing budgets and payroll coordination.
Vernon Rehabilitation and HCC is seeking to hire a full time Nursing Department Staffing Coordinator. Ideal candidate will have experience scheduling Nursing and C.N.A. employees in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Experience with online scheduling is recommended but not required. Comfortable with computer software and Microsoft Word and Excel. Under the direction of the DNS, the candidate will be able to successfully staff patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants in support of staffing mandates and employee policies. Collaborates with facility human resources and nursing management on staffing needs, staffing changes to ensure an effective and efficient facility schedule. In addition, the ideal candidate will: 1. Serves as a liaison between DNS/ADNS regarding scheduling and staffing on the units. 2. Assumes complete responsibility in ensuring adequate nursing staffing including completing and posting nursing department schedule, covering call outs, granting vacation requests with ADNS approval. 3. Maintains vacation calendar for nursing staff. 4. Maintains approved Nursing Department staffing budget (including scheduling staff with OT budget management). 5. Processes weekly nursing payroll in coordination with the facility-level Human Resource department. 6. Aides in resolution of payroll issues with employees. 7. Assists in the hiring of new C.N.A.’s. 8. Track professional nursing licensure/certifications as directed. 9. Generates payroll change forms for the Nursing Department 10. Relieves receptionist for breaks as needed. 11. Completes hours worked report for the Nursing Department/Administrator. 12. Tracks absenteeism and tardiness in the nursing department. 13. Tracks nursing’s employee participation in incentive programs when applicable. 14. Maintains accurate list of telephone (contact data) numbers of all nursing department staff members 15. Maintains accurate accounting of staff attendance in conjunction with the HR department and DON.
