Position Summary VERN LEWIS WELDING SUPPLY INC. is seeking fora highly motivated, results-driven, and fully bilingual (English/Spanish) Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations for our Phoenix, AZ location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, logistics, and inventory control, preferably within the industrial supply or welding/gas distribution sector. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management: • Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and a positive, upbeat atmosphere. • Recruit, train, motivate, and mentor a high-performing team of counter sales and inventory specialists. • Conduct performance appraisals and foster continuous skill development within the team. • Manage employee scheduling and workflow prioritization (receiving, stocking, order pulling, cash handling). Customer & Sales Focus: • Serve as a vital link to our diverse customer base by being fully fluent in both English and Spanish. • Drive sales and meet profitability targets by analyzing sales figures and implementing strategic initiatives in conjunction with purchasing & sales . • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring top-notch service and effectively resolving all customer issues. • Establish and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers (both English and Spanish speaking). Operations & Inventory: • Manage and maintain accurate store inventory, overseeing ordering, receiving, and cycle counting processes. • Ensure all products, including welding equipment, industrial gases, and safety supplies, are well-organized, clearly identified, and properly merchandised. • Oversee cash handling and daily balance sheets. • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment, strictly enforcing all company and safety protocols for employees and customers. Requirements and Qualifications • Bilingual Fluency: Must be fully fluent in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish. • Experience: Proven successful experience as a Store Manager or similar retail/industrial management role (minimum 2-3 years preferred). • Industry Knowledge: Basic knowledge of welding, industrial gases, safety supplies, and related equipment is a significant plus, but proven experience in a similar technical retail environment is acceptable. • Leadership: Powerful leading skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a team. • Business Acumen: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with experience managing. • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both languages. • Other: Adequate computer skills and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting to 50 pounds, as required.
