Reviews patient information prior to appointment in order to determine patient needs. Verify with nursing staff if there are questions. • Implementing customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing and determining patient transportation system improvements. • Informs family members of patient appointments upon request. • Stay with patient at appointments to provide assistance upon request. • Post appointments daily for staff and patients at least one day prior to appointment. Be available to answer questions regarding the appointment. • Enter orders for appointment and transportation and retrieves/sends diagnostic labs needed for appointment. • Determines best route to and from appointments prior to the departing time, along with equipment required to load and unload patient. • Keeps equipment operating by establishing and enforcing operating and preventive maintenance rules; arranging for repairs, oil changes, etc. • Provide and troubleshoot medical equipment needed for a patient transport, such as, but not limited to; O2, wheelchairs, gurneys, IVs. • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. • Must possess a valid Colorado license and maintain a clean driving record. Central Supply • Assist in developing methods for determining quantity of supplies and equipment required. • Organize storage, issue and delivery of supplies and equipment as necessary. • Ensure that supplies and equipment are properly maintained. • Deliver emergency supplies and equipment as directed. • Ensure all telephone orders are confirmed with a written purchase order. • Ensure all purchase orders are properly prepared, signed and submitted as required. • Check invoices, purchase orders, packing slips, etc., with incoming merchandise. • Notify appropriate department when orders have arrived. • Ensure inventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies and equipment. • Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when handling supplies and equipment. • Must be able to work weekends when needed. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED • CPR Certified • Must be 21 • Valid Colorado Driver's License • Must be able to pass an MVR • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and crouch repetitively. • Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds for a long distance. • Must be able to lift bulky heavy items up to 100 pounds. • Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language. • Possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Should have friendly and calm demeanor. • Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills.
